Vision Sunday

Feb 1, 2026    Pastor Fi Portillo

This powerful Vision Sunday message invites us to pause and reflect on two essential truths: the importance of expressed gratitude and the necessity of clear vision for moving forward. Drawing from Proverbs 29:18, we're reminded that without prophetic vision rooted in God's Word, people cast off restraint and go wild. The message challenges us to make Scripture the standard for our lives rather than drifting aimlessly through cultural trends. As we celebrate what God accomplished in the previous year—lives transformed, families blessed, and communities impacted—we're called to recognize that these aren't just numbers but real people whose eternities have been changed. The six pillars established for the church—prayer as the difference, everyone having a next step, welcoming all to the table, sending the gospel outward, being better together, and generational generosity—provide a framework for continued growth. Most importantly, we're challenged to avoid entitlement and instead cultivate hearts of gratitude, recognizing that everything we have flows from Jesus' redemptive work. This isn't about what we've accomplished but about following where God is leading, with the same heart Moses had when he said he wouldn't go anywhere God wasn't going.
